KazMunayGas: Effective internal communications – pledge of social stability

From October 27 until November 6, 2014 Aktau will host training workshops: “Establishment and introduction of internal communications systems at operations” with participation of 100 managers, employees, chairmen of labour unions of subsidiary and dependent organizations of JSC NC KazMunayGas, responsible for social and labour issues.

 These activities are carried out within the policy on creation of favorable climate among employees of subsidiaries, implemented by management of the national company. They are aimed at developing “feedback” system of administration with employees, constructive dialogue between employers and employees, with labour unions.

In this regard the system work is carried out.

In late 2013 the Council for development of social partnership and settlement of labour disputes and conflicts of JSC NC KazMunayGas, which considers and develops recommendations for acute problems of employees, was created.  The Council consists of managers, chairmen of labour unions, representatives of staff of subsidiaries of JSC NC KazMunayGas.

This year “Model rules of uniform internal communications system between employers and employees of subsidiary and dependent organizations of JSC NC “KazMunayGas” were developed and approved.

There were meetings with management and specialists of subsidiary and dependent organizations, who are in charge of social issues, representatives of labour unions and employees of companies to clarify and update the above documents.

Practice of annual reporting meetings of KMG subsidiaries management with staff started.

However, as the practice shows, for system-based introduction of the uniform practice is insufficient without relevant knowledge and sufficient understanding of the role and importance of establishment of internal communications by managers, without participation of staff representatives in the process of development and introduction of uniform approaches and standards of social dialogues in KMG Group.  

In this regard this training workshop is arranged for employees to understand the role and methods of establishment of internal communications systems at enterprise, develop communication competency of managers, representatives of labour unions and specialists of JSC NC “KazMunayGas”.
