On October 20, 2014, JSC NC “KazMunayGas” started a three-day workshop: “KMG Transformation. Changes in HR policy” attended by the human resources managers of the company’s subsidiaries and affiliates. The opening of the workshop was attended by the Chairman of the Board of JSC NC “KazMunayGas” Sauat Mynbayev and Chief Human Resources Officer of the “Samruk Kazyna” Fund Daniel Cruysberghs.
It was noted that, on October 6 this year, President Nursultan Nazarbayev announced the launch of a transformation program in the “Samruk Kazyna” Group. The transformation will take place in stages, and the National Company “KazMunayGas” is among the pilot companies.
As S.Mynbayev stressed that, initially, all the goals and expected results of the transformation should be specifically retransmitted in KMG subsidiaries to provide the teams’ understanding of them. As for the HR services, in the course of transformation, it is necessary to get KMG HR managers to work using common schemes. Particular attention should be given to the further introduction of a uniform wage system, automation of data collection, formation of a unified organizational structure in all companies, approval of common names for oil and gas sector professions. In addition, according to the head of KMG, it is important to consider the motivational components for the staff. Each KMG employee must clearly see their future in the company in terms of career growth.
During the meeting, the Managing Director for Human Resources Management and Labor Remuneration of “KazMunayGas”, Serik Abdenov, presented the project of the Uniform Personnel Policy of the national company, to be introduced within the transformation.
After the workshop, recommendations and an action plan aimed at improving the HR policies and successful transformation in JSC NC “KazMunayGas” will be approved.
