Borangali Aybek

Education:
Aybek Borangali graduated from the Eurasian National University with a degree in International Economics. Additionally, he studied at the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas under the program “Energy Business Management”.
Career:
- He started his career in 2004 at the Kazakh Institute of Oil and Gas JSC.
- In 2005–2009, he worked at JSC NC KazMunayGas as a Manager of the Department for the Development of Promising Projects.
- In 2009–2011, he held the positions of Advisor to the General Director and Director of the Exploration Assets Management Department at KazMunaiGas Exploration Production JSC, and was also concurrently the General Director of KMG EP Exploration Assets LLP.
- From 2011 to 2013, he was the Head of the Exploration Project Management Department at KazMunayTeniz Offshore Oil Company JSC.
- In 2013–2014, he was the Executive Director of the KAZENERGY Association.
- From 2014 to 2018, he worked in the private sector, where he gained experience in managing commercial structures.
- In 2018–2025, he held senior positions at JSC NC KazMunayGas – Director of the Exploration Assets Management Department and Head of the Exploration Projects Department, responsible for the development and implementation of the company's exploration project portfolio.
- On May 27, 2025, he was appointed General Director of KMG Drilling & Services LLP.
As General Director, Borangali Aybek ensures the strategic development of KMG Drilling & Services LLP, manages operational and financial activities, and builds cooperation with shareholders and international partners. Under his leadership, the company implements global quality and safety standards, develops the professional competencies of its staff and implements key drilling projects in Kazakhstan and the Caspian region.
